LG Optimus Pro Being Released Date , Price and Specs

After a long break LG is back in India with their latest and most anticipated handset of their most famous Optimus smartphone series. LG is set to make an entry in the world's largest smartphone market with its much awaited phablet. 

LG Optimus G Pro phablet is seen as a rival of Samsung Note 2 phablet. It was announced in Feb this year and then later it was released in all major markets till April 2013, but they never made any official announcement about its launch in India. Now the phone will be finally launched in India next month in June 2013.

LG Optimus G Pro launch date will coinciede with Samsung's June 20 event in which it is set to announce its next gen phones. There is a very less hope of the announcement of Samsung Galaxy Note 3 as Note 2 is still popular and is the most famous phablet in Indian smartphone market.

It is going to be released around 20 June 2013. LG Optimus G Pro comes with a 5.5 inch full HD IPS + LCD capacitive touch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixel. It has a better pixel resolution and clarity, but  size is same as compared to Samsung Note 2 and it neither have a pen or stylus as Note 2 has.

This phone works on the latest verion of Android operating system Jelly Beans 4.2 which makes it better than Note 2 as it comes with Android Jelly Beans 4.1. 

It runs on a Quad core 1.7 GHz Krait 300 Snapdragon processor and a 2 GB RAM. It has a 32 GB internal memory which is expandable via Micro SD card storage upto 64 GB. Here also LG Optimus G Pro has an edge over Samsung Galaxy Note 2 which comes with lower hardware configuration.

Optimus G Pro comes with a smashing 13 MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2.1 MP front facing camera for video calling. This phone is capable of recording videos at 1080p@30 frame per second. The camera has a lot of other features like geo-tagging, face detection, image stabilization, panorama, HDR modes. The camera is for sure better than that of Note 2, but its image quality can only be tested once it is out in market.

The phone is available in 2 colours black and white and it has a weight of 172 grams and it comes with a 3140 mAh powerful battery.
